Editing Templates

Using the Content Editor

By default, the template manager uses the same Html content editor as comes packaged with DotNetNuke. The editor component itself is freely available, and is supported to provide a robust interface for managing your content.

If you have experience using Word, you may notice that many of the icons and functions are intuitive.

If you copy and paste html or text content into your template from Word, or other office applications, you must be sure to click the word-clean icon to remove the Office markup tags. If you do not word-clean these documents, your results will contain unexpected characters and formatting.

If you copy and paste from another website or html page, make sure that the html tables and rows are closed properly during the copy. This is a common detail that is overlooked, resulting in improperly formatted content which could also bleed out of the current module into the rest of your web page.
